Robin

One of England's most beloved birds 

This piece features one of England's most beloved birds: the Robin. Funnily enough I don't actually see robins that often in my own garden; I was inspired to paint this little redbreast when I visited my sister's house in North Norfolk. He was hopping around the garden wall and seemed to show no fear of us. It is often said that when a Robin is near it is a sign that a loved one's spirit is near and watching over you. Whether you believe this or not is irrelevant to me; I get a feeling of joy whenever is see this little bird.

I meticulously paint the original image in gouache; I try to capture the bird's intricate details and vibrant colours. The Giclée print is reproduced from the original painting and is created on xpression textured 300gsm archival paper, ensuring that the quality and texture enhance the visual depth of the image. Each print is unique; I apply gold leaf by hand, adding a distinctive touch that reflects my artistic process. This handcrafted approach means that no two prints are ever exactly the same, making each piece a truly original work of art infused with my personal touch. I sign each print by hand and add the edition number. Ideal for bird lovers and art enthusiasts alike, this print brings a touch of nature's beauty into any space.
